I've always wanted to take part but never had a blog up and running for my craft stuff. When I fell ill recently I decided to spend more time crafting with the possibility of turning it into a career in a few years, if I become too ill to run my salon. So here I am. I really have to say Julia was an inspiration for me to get my crafting socks back on and not let an illness beat me or my creativity.
I know the photo isn't too clear but last night I was working on a couple of new cards using my new K&co butterfly embelishments and some new papers I picked up. I was also experimenting with my new (and first) Martha Stewart punch. I'm usually a very tidy crafter and tidy as I go so I'm not left with a huge amount of mess at the end but I decided to let my organisation go out the window and have a nice messy desk to show you this morning.
We've not yet got any followers on our blog :( I hope some of you will read this and decide to follow us as I'm sure I'll be a regular over at WOYWW.
Away to do some snooping round some desks!

A newcomer eh? Looking at those cards you could have been crafting for years. I looked at some of my first cards on Saturday and the only thing they were fit for was the dustbin! so well done.

ReplyDeleteLovely cards there - be warned blogging, woyww and martha stewart punches are very addictive!
ReplyDeleteLove your desk but can I make a suggestion, you should keep ink pads flat or the ink wont be evenly placed around the pad, and take off word verification in the settings change it to approval instead as verification puts people off making comments.
ReplyDeleteClare
A messy desk is a creative desk. Repeat this mantra whenever you feel inclined to tidy and the moment will pass.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon - crafting has been the savour of my sanity since i became ill x
Thanks everyone for all of your lovely comments and support. Also, thanks Clare H, I knew that about the ink pads but have no idea why I have them in the basket I do. I put them in there yesterday to be a bit tidier but didn't even think, you can tell I'm new to all of this! Also changed the word verification.
ReplyDeleteWednesdays are my new favourite day!!! x

ReplyDeleteThose butterfly cards are darling. I even like your first ever MS punch. I'm a neat freak, so I can usually tell a neat crafter when I see one. Your desk is really creative, not messy. Again, welcome.

I'm late - you will get used to this characteristic of mine....Anyway, welcome to WOYWW and to blogging! Don't credit me with too much, I'm very far from modest and will be awful and friendless if you go on! YOur desk looks fab - and I love your definition of messy...there are some very tidy and organised spaces on WOYWW so don't feel obliged to create mess if it's not natural for you! Had a good rummage - love your cards...and warning - that won't be your last MS punch. Really, and I say that not as a skilled crytal ball gazer, just a fact...go look at Yenni Natalia's WOYWW post - proof!! Great and good luck as you set off on this new path, maybe both the salon and this will chug along together; that'd be great too, huh!
